Gorges, Castles, The Rattling of Sabres

1st day: After arriving in Dresden you set out on a one-hour walk through the city. Then you drive into Saxon Switzerland with its bizarre thousand year old rock formations. Here you will settle for the next two nights. Evening meal in the hotel.

2nd day: Excursion to Hrensko, the first town beyond the Czech border. Make sure you don’t forget your passport! A jolly boat tour takes you through Kamenice gorge and the beautiful countryside of Bohemian Switzerland. Then you will enjoy the hospitality on the Czech side of this mountainous region. Return to Saxony and visit the Fortress Königstein, where you will spend the evening. Here you are offered special culinary pleasures - a feast in the officers’ mess situated on the fortress. 3rd day: Journey home.
